State Of Union

I thought Obama's speech was very motivating and inspiring. I love how he was talking about the future and how us Americans need to work togetor for it. He also discussed about innovation and technology alot, and I love the part where he said the thing about reconizing the winner of science fairs. He talked about bipartisanship and how both Rep/Dem needed to work togetor. I think Obama is a great person!

State Of Union Thoughts.

I though President Obama had some good points in the state of the union and some not so very good things. I like the whole idea of bipartisanship with republicans and democrats working together, and the stress on better education. Also his whole speech seemed to be based off of "innovating" America. He talked about reducing our dependencies on foreign oil and i thought that was good. im not sure if i like the whole "Race to the Top" system for states to try to have the smartest kids. Also he said that 2011 was a time for more jobs and i like the plan of developing clean energy sources to provide jobs, but at the same time, it is going to put the country in a bigger deficit just buying all the equipment such as windmills, generators, turbines, etc. So overall i would say this was a great way to advertise bipartisanship, and ways to innovate, however i do not really like the "Race to the top" idea as much as the other ideas that President Obama had.

State of the Union Address

The State of the Union Address was very inspirational. President Obama spoke about innovation, education, and shaping the future in general. I enjoyed what Obama said about education. Although the 'No Child Left Behind' Act was effective, this new generation brings up a whole new idea of education. I personally believe that President Obama will go far with his plans. One thing I noticed about his speech was that he mentioned rankings between other countries. I know that being a prosperous country calls for competition, but knowing that the only reason for new technology and better education is because of our lower rankings on a graph gets me worried. President Obama should have focused on what he can do to improve this country for the sake of shaping the future, not for first place on a pie chart. The point of Obama's speech was the concept on 'Shaping the Future'. The parts of his speech I mostly found interesting was when Barack talked about change. This really motivated me for our President's upcoming year in office. Shaping the future is important because soon, our generation will be running businesses and being the president. I enjoyed Barack's care for our generation and future generations. All in all, President Obama gave a fascinating speech about our country and I greatly respect his ability to communicate with Congress.

state of the union address

i really like the state of the union address this year. i thought obama did a very good job of keeping it positive. i liked that he had so many plans for the future. his idea for education was definetly my favorite idea, he made a much better plan then no child left behind and eve set reachable goals for these schools. the fact that he wants children to have a quality education is a quality that i admire. that he wanted to make america great and had a plan for it was good. i do wish however that he had talked a little mpre about the problems at hand and the plan for the present. overall i liked the state of union address.

State of the Union address

I agree with President Obama's points where we need improvement. I am actually suprised by some of the fact that were mentioned in the adress. I too believe education is a major thing we must improve along with our need for oil and fossil fuels. However, I am a bit skeptical on how all these things will be done especially because we are in enormous debt. Nobody knows for sure if President Obama and congress will make this happen. I do like the speech but words are meaningless without action.

State of the Union 2011 feat. Barack Obama

Think about everything he's aiming for. Then ask your self about the one factor that matters the most when fulfilling goals: money. Where is the money going to come from? As far as I remember, we are growing in debt because of failed things such as the bailout.
I admit Obama made a spectacular appearance, and really emphasized the need for bipartisan legislation because nothing positive gets down when houses of Congress always disagree for a bill to represent their party or their people. Like always, his charismatic personality truly sets a stage ready to be rocked.
So Obama's speech was generalized around, "Winning the Future" whereas he should really be focusing on boosting our economy back up. Though he mention that the economy has been rising and that jobs have been created, unfortunately the unemployment rate is still up at around 9% according to the Obama administration. Furthermore, Obama stated that in his speech he wanted to research more more into technology advances to surpass countries like China. All of these things cost a substantial amount of money, and as everyone should know, we are in debt trillions or somewhere around that figure.
Is the president aiming for the perfect world of Utopia with education and energy? By giving states incentives if the teachers get their student's scores up, the president is borderline controlling education. While I agree and disagree that education is a states issue, I agree with Obama when he talked about the importance of an education. Nowadays, many people need to have the education to go anywhere in life.
At times, I felt that President Obama was vague when discussing the immigration problem which brings me to another problem. The chief executive in office needs to cover every issue very similarly meaning that he/she should always balance out the time he spends discussing the topic. Also, the president needs to talk about the specifics of the policies and bills that he/she wishes to propose to Congress.
Sorry I couldn't write more, analyzing an hour long speech is not what I had in mind. Honestly, I believe that things about America really need to change for this century, due to a huge difference between our culture and the culture a while back. It's funny because I moved from a conservative view of government to undecided. As long as we are a "free" nation, you're not doing THAT bad of a job as president.

O-beezy's State of the Union.

I believe President Obama's State of the Union address put a lot of minds at ease. As of late his favorability late has gone up due to the way he handled the incident in Arizona, and I believe his State of the Union, for the most part, only made things better. He addressed several important things in his speech, one of the primary things was America's steps to fully adopt clean energy. It's about time we stopped polluting our planet and paying more money than we need to. Besides, theres no need for another incident with BP like the one in the gulf. Basically what I'm saying is... I'm hyped for this clean energy thing! Mr. Obama also mentioned his desire to reform Education yet again, and I must say his goals are quite admirable. Wanting to get into College myself, seeing America have the most College graduates again sounds good to me, and if Obama can even start to make progress at achieving this his favorability will certainly skyrocket. I am not the most well versed in the world of politics, but from what I do know, I was pleased with the plans Obama has in store for our country. I just hope we can pull his plans off!
