2011 State of The Union

I agree with most of what Obama was talking about in the State of the Union speech. I agreed with him when he said that schools needed to be better to compete with other countries. I didn't agree with how he said he was going to make them better because he said he was going to give money to the schools that showed them a plan to increase scores. The schools that need help are the ones that are not making good plans so they should be given money if they use their plan. He also said it has help 40 states. That means there are still some that haven't made new plans.

I agreed with him when he said that we needed to work together. He said we need to work together so we can still be the biggest and strongest country. He said Congress needed to work together so we could get things done. He said he was willing to work together with Republicans and Democrats to be productive.

I also agreed with him when he said we need to rebuild the economy. I agree with this because if the economy was better their would be less unemployed people. I think more jobs need to be created and we should do things that make the economy better.

I agreed with what he said about illegal imagration. He said that we should let the people that came here to study and can help the country instead of sending them back to compete agaist us. We should protect the borders and enforce our law. He said he would work with Republicans and Deocrats to handle illegal immigration. I agreed with this and thought it was a good thing to put in the State of the Union speech.
