Discussion questions:
Do you think we should cut taxes more so there is one amount you have to pay for everybody across the nation?
Do you think we should stop taking taxes out of people’s income?
Should we know what are money is going to support? Do you think our money is really going to support these programs and services that the government is sponsoring?
1. No, of course not, not at all! I think it should all be based on people's income... There are different classes among people, and if there would be one tax amount to pay for everyone, how would you determine what that amount would be?
ReplyDelete2. Definitely not, but I do believe that more steps should be taken to enforce what is being done so that there can be equality among different classes. There are some people who cheat the system making it difficult for those who actually need tax cuts.
3. Most definitely, I think we should know! It's important for people to know where their money is going, it's only fair. I honestly don't think that ALL of the money is going to support the government-sponsored programs... I do think that there is a possible catch. The problems seems to grow each year, along with a raise in taxes as well... so how exactly are our problems being resolved?
1. No, I think it should be based on people's income, because of the difference in incomes. One person might make $40,000 a year and another might make $100,000 a year. If they had to pay the same tax the person who makes $40,000 will have less money to spend on their needs.
ReplyDelete2. No, you should base taxes of people's income so that it is fair. If we all had to pay the same income all the rich people would have to pay less while the poor people have to pay more.
3. Yes, I think we should know what are money is being spent on. One reason is that taxes are getting changed every year and the people do not know why. Another reason is that we should know what programs our money is being sent to so that we can see if it is worth the tax payer's money.
1:No, since people earn more money then others. So it should be based on the persons income, some people earn $40,000 and others $10,000. Why would the guy earning 40 thousand pay same tax as the 10 thousand. It would not be fare for the the person with less money. Theres no way for the government to calculate the amount of tax to charge.
ReplyDelete2: No, since that money funds the things we need in life. Like schools, highways, pot holes, and equipment. How else would we live without these things in our life. They should keep taking the taxes from peoples income. So kids could get a education and better life.
3: Everybody should know where the peoples taxes are going to or funding. Whats the whole point of giving money and not knowing where its going to. The money people are getting away from are mostlikely going to get support a program or something.
1. No, I don't believe so. If someone with a really low income rate has large taxes to pay, they would go into even more debt. If there were to be more debt, than there would be an increase in the foreclosures of homes and poverty.
ReplyDelete2. I do not think that we should stop taking taxes out of people's income. The taxes, if used correctly by the government, go to great causes such as funding all of the programs of the federal government. If there were no taxes, the government wouldn't have any way to afford its expenses because people are not likely to volunteer their money (or at least enough of it).
3. I think it would be nice to know, but honestly I don't think there are many people who know what programs their money is going into nowadays. I think it would be enough to know that your money if for sure going into government programs, no matter what program it may be.I do think that the money is going to the programs and services the government is sponsoring. We should be able to trust the government, and they should know that there are consequences for using the money for anything but the government programs and services.
1. No, I don't think the government should cut taxes so everyone pays the same tax. It should be based on the amount of money a person makes. I don’t think someone who doesn’t make that much money should be paying the same taxes as someone who is making a lot of money. I think the percent of how much each person pays in taxes should be lowered. People having less money to pay in taxes would give them more spending money.
ReplyDelete2. No, I don't think income taxes should be stopped. I think the government should take less money out of people’s incomes. If the percent of money that was taken out of peoples incomes was lowered people would have more spending money and that might help the economy. The money that is necessary to carry out important programs should not stop being taken out of incomes.
3. I think that people of each state should have the right to know what their money is going to. Most people would like to how much money is going to the programs that their tax dollars are funding. I think that tax dollars are going to the programs that they say they are going to. The state and federal governments should be telling the truth about where everyone’s money is going to.
