Gatekeeper (Obama enlists big names to push for nuclear treaty)

This newspaper article depicts the gatekeep function of the media. Recently, Obama convinced Democrative Senate leaders to push for a treaty between Russia. Under the treaty, the Us and Russia would have to lower their strategic warhead count from about 2000 to 1550. The President stresses that this foreign policy issue is a priority and that it needs to be passed with speed. The GOP Senators though are hesistant and against the issue, advocating that they wanted to maintain the amount of warheads carried. I wouldn't of known anything about this swift action that was taken. I trust that the source is reliable and that it is unbias towards any side.
