this article illistrates the watchdog job of the media. one of their jobs is to wath pliticians to uncover dirt on them. hre they did just that. after the FBI uncovered the initial evidencee to arrest them the media went deeper and found out about some other dealings this guy had with bribes. the media was able to report on this and inform the punlic of what this guy had done. in this case the mission of the media being a watchdog was accomplished

this article shows the gatekeeper job of the media. the media is relied upon by the public to inform us of things we would not know otherwise. we in return trust what they are saying. this article is a perfect example because most ordinary people would not know about this incident unless the media reported it. this article illistrated the media's job of gatekeeper
