1.) In the last paragraph, we have a mother advocating the legalization, saying that it is better to be in the hands of respectable citizens rather than the common 'criminal'. Do you agree with that statement?
2.) In the long run, and i'm talking, 10 years down the line, should this be legalized would it work out? Meaning, do you think that this will integrate well with society or will there be just too much opposition from less liberal states? Or the federal government for that matter, how do you think the DEA will react?
3.) Do you think that there will still be unregulated growers, providing those 'epic' strains that this bill might wipe out?
1.) I agree and disagree with the mom. I think it is right for possession of marijuana to be in the hands of responsible citizens, but common citizens were the first ones to first possess weed so they know more about handling it. Also not all possessors of marijuana are common "criminals".
ReplyDelete2.) If Proposition 19 was legalized, I do not think it will integrate well with society. Honestly, there are a lot of people who use marijuana and if this was legalized, this would only make people who use it more angry, but also it would make growers of marijuana angry because they have more to worry about such as how they will earn money. Everything about it is illegal anyway, but only legalizing Proposition 19 will not solve any solution about marijuana.
3.) Yes I do think there will still be unregulated growers that Proposition 19 will wipe out.
1. I agree that it would probably help with preventing crimes which arise due to the dispersal, and selling of weed. However i do not agree with the fact that this article is trying to turn common criminals into respectable citizens by legalizing weed. If weed was legalized it would not mean that respectable citizens would buy it, you would still have the same purchasers i.e. "common criminals".
ReplyDelete2.I think if this were to be legalized it would be heavily disputed, and yes there should be an age limit put on to it if it were to be legalized. It would most likely work out even if i don't personally agree with this. I think there will be a lot of opposition even though a majority will be happy because it should cut down on crime. I do not really think the DEA would react that much. It would be there job to make sure that people are old enough to possess the weed. So there would be a slight change in the duties relating to weed.
3. According to the article weed dealing is a prosperous business if not caught. I think people will do whatever it takes to make money, so yes i believe there will be unregulated growers.
1.I dont agree with the statement. It should be in the hands of no one. We would be hurting our nation and community no matter whos hands they are in.
ReplyDelete2.Its a yes and no. If we legalize it then government can make $BANK$ with all the tax that they will put on it. But then hiting a joint will only hurt the persons health and mind. Yeah people say that you cant get addicted, but really you can get addicted to anything. So many controversies would happen. It would be in everyones political agenda and wouldnt leave. It would be a bad thing to do.
3. Yeah there will be unregulated growers. The faster the many the better for the supplier. But remember what my nigga Biggie said "MO MONEY MO PROBLEMZ"
1.) I don't agree with this statement because even if it's in the hands of a respectable citizen, they could become addicted and becopme a criminal to get what they are addicted to.
ReplyDelete2.) It should not be legalized becasue it is a gateway drug and it will negatively affect the person usiong the drug.
3.) There will always be unregulated growers that wont follow whatever protocol is made up for the regulated growers.
1) i disagree with the statement because if the law is enforced enough then less people will break it. still, many people will do it illigally but it will cut down a great number of citizens.
ReplyDelete2)i dont think the drug should be legalized...EVER. drugs are bad as well as alcohol, why makie them? but, if the drug "does" become legal down the road in 10 years then the federal government will put a huge tax on it and an age restriction for sure. many people will be... "excited-ish"... but many citizens against the idea will try and fight it creating many problems for the government. just dont make it legal.
3)of course.. there will be unregulated growers and yes, they definitely will be effected but people will do many things to gain money in anyway.
1) I don't agree with the mom because I rather want a criminal smoking weed than a well respected citizen. I can't imagine the horrors of walking into your office building and seeing everyone smacked. Haha not literally but I mean if you legalize it then I can assume that alot of well income citizens will use weed and weed is known to have the chill and carefree effect + the lack of motivation. Im in favour of no one having their hands on weed or any drugs but that is impossible.
ReplyDelete2) I don't think it will work well down the road. SO many problems can arise from legalizing it such as underage pot smoking(which is still a huge problem). I mean kids will still smoke pot even though it will be ID'd, they will get it from unregulated growers, from older "respected citizens". Besides what about the parents who think smoking pot is okay. They would probally smoke pot infront of their kids once it becomes legalized because they believe that it doesn't harm their bodies and arn't addictive.
3) Of course there will still be unregulated growers. I mean weed is illegal right now and we have weed producers. Why would it matter if they regulate it and make it illegal for other than licenced growers to grow it, others will still have a way to grow it and make a profit. The cop saying that this will allow them to waste less time on chasing pot smokers is wrong I think because there will be underaged smokers of pot, complaints from parents who says that their kids teachers are pot smoker and they will still need to crack down unregulated distributers. OVERALL this prop IS A DOUBLE FAIL.
1)i do kind of agree with the mother in the last paragraph. i mean this way you will have to be carded or give i d for marjuana so more responsible people will have the drug. on the other hand i think that stoners and druggies will also try and get ahold of marjuana for their own personal use. so what is really to stop these people from getting the drug? so i feel that the idea is good but not the way they are carrying it out.
ReplyDelete2) i think that even 10 years down the line there will be opposition to this act. i think that some government officials will approve thinking the same way the moms do. some though i think will oppose because they dont see how this act will help anyone or because they are afraid that stoners will get ahold of it. i do think that alot of people will before this act since it will help get this drug into good hands.
ReplyDelete3)i totally think that there will still be unregulated growers. there are many people who find their way around the law and with the big demand on the black market i think that there are people who will still do unregulated growing. if there is enough money i think people will go to great lengths to grow unregulated marjuana.
